Review – First impressions
Zero Tolerance, known for strong massive and sometimes very tactical knife designs, is making THE surprise of the year: a series production of the Jens Ansø Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo is classic, small, elegant and perfectly legal to wear in many countries of the world (including Germany). The simple but nevertheless unique design doesn’t fit to ZT at all but that’s why it’s such a big litter. Here my first short impression:The backspacer
The custom model on the right is made of anodized titanium. The ZT version has chosen aluminium. The anodised aluminium offers a richer colour.
The locking mechanism
ZT has never built a Slipjoint Folder before. But they hit the I’d say double-detent-ball closure very well. Jens certainly stood by side. The blade is kept open by the two small balls.

WOW Barometer
Wow! I am thrilled! ZT can also build “slipjoints”. I only had 2 ZT0230 in my hands. Both were well to very well processed for my first impression. For example, the grinding could have been more even.
What else do I wish for?
